Being both clean and
'green' seems to be the thing to do these days.
I have found one of the best and least expensive household cleaners is a
combination of vinegar, organic cleaner, scents and water.
This solution can be scented with Lavender flower buds Lemon Verbena
leaves and Orange peel
RECIPE:
For a cleaning concentrate --
Soak the botanicals (about 1 Tablespoon each) in vinegar, white or cider,
(1 cup) for about a week.
Strain botanicals out, add water (2 cups) add Nature's Sunshine brand
Sunshine Concentrate (1/4 cup).
Use this concentrate, added to more or less water, depending on your
cleaning task.
For instance,
for windows and mirrors, add a few drops of the concentrate to about a
pint of water and an extra Tablespoon of vinegar. Apply with a sprayer.
For bathroom sink & fixtures, kitchen counters and like jobs, add about
two tablespoons of the concentrate to a pint of water in a bucket.
Use a wash rag to apply.
Instead of the botanicals, you may add the essential oils of
Orange,
Lavender and
Lemon Verbena,
(about 5 drops of each) to the concentrate of vinegar, water and Nature's
Sunshine organic cleaner.
